Title: Bagdaddy Introduce Yourself
Post by: Fired00d on January 22, 2008, 06:18:48 PM
Just happened to be looking at the gallery today and saw an awesome Road Glide...

Noticed this was a fairly new member bike (Bagdaddy (http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?action=profile;u=4968)) and was hoping this thread would bring him out and he'd show us some more pictures of his scooter. If I'm not mistaken the inspection sticker looks like he may be a Virginia resident. :nixweiss: Don't be shy come on out, and show us some more pictures of that tricked/chromed out Road Glide of yours. :2vrolijk_21:

That is a nice lookin' RG, Bagdaddy...show us some more photos!!

I'll tell you, the more I look at the RG's the more I like them...I've always liked the look, but it's growing on me more and more.  In the distant future, that may be my next bagger, but only after Wanda June gets retired, which is a long way off.

I know what you mean. I refuse to ride one because I don't want to deal w/the emotions of "damn I've got to have one now". :nervous: It's so easy for me to not miss something I've never had/experienced.

Does Texas have inspection stickers? Looking at the picture, I see Crepe Myrtles and the grass looks like a St. Augustine (Floratam). If that's true, it's go to be southern. Maybe a transplant to Florida? :nixweiss:

The Crepe Myrtles I know we do have them here, because there are some at our FD. Here is a picture of my inspection sticker...

Man, Gary, you must have a lot of influence to be able to get that inspection sticker in your colors. :nixweiss:          :huepfenlol2:

I think you're dead-on with the sticker. But that grass.... The only place I've seen wide bladed grass like that is Florida and Texas. I used to think that Floratam was the best grass in the world, and then I moved.  ;D

If it is Texas, the sticker looks a lot different than mine. In TX, the law says that the insp sticker and the license plate should be visible together, so most are put right below the license plate, except for some customs that hang them off the rear axle. My bike came with an L bracket that goes behind the plate and the sticker goes on that facing up. Kinda looks like chit, so I flipped mine upside down. You ( cop ) would have to get way down on your knees to be able to see both, as it's right underneath the tour pack, but as it pertains to the law, I should still be legal.  ;D

Sure glad Oklahoma finally did away with the State Inspection.  It was a scam anyway.  If you had a vehicle that would not pass for some reason, you could always find a shop that would give you a sticker anyway, so the State Vehicle Inspection (tax) did not keep unsafe vehicles off the street.  And, they finally realized that just because a vehicle passes inspection today, doesn't mean that it will pass inspection in six or nine months.
And besides, the inspection stickers look like crap on a motorcycle anyway.
