Well i thought my buddy Mike (Puzzled) was a little nutso for buying an 18 CVO RG after all the work in his 13 CVO RG...but low and behold i just put a deposit on an 18 Black Earth/Black SE RG today and my 11 SE SG is up for sale (and possibly sold). I guess i’m Just as nutso?
The bludgeoning of my bank account will again start with exhaust, tuners, air suspension, wheels, forks, triple trees, front fender, etc.  Mike...save that parts list!

The stock windshield with the additional rake and height puts the WS at about the bottom of my nose.

Everything below the tape will be painted body color. I'm undecided on an orange stripe (rocker box color) or black stripe or no stripe.

If the orange was on the front fender like the Dark Earth I would say "Yes, add the orange stripe on the windshield." But.........it's not, so nope on the orange stripe.

Howz about a stealthy black artsie "PUZZLED" below the tape instead of solid paint?

i say no paint... if your asking  , i like the contrast of the black/grey just cant wait to see it when your finished

Great point...  With that train of thought there will be more orange on the bike. Front and rear fenders are getting a painted version of the tank emblem. The bags are getting their own thing staying within the colors already on the bike...

It'll get paint. Anything below my tape line is unusable was as I can't see through the fairing. The paint imo adds a small touch of a custom look.

Mike, other's opinions shouldn't be worth a ton on your bike.  For what little it's worth though here's what I thought when I closed my eyes and tried to picture your bike.  I'd do the orange stipe if there is anything complementary stripe fore and aft.  If the orange could  look as if it was tracking front to back.  If it's just a couple of splashes of orange on a vertical plane of the rocker boxes and windshield I think it would look too abrupt and not complement the lines of the bike though


That is unless of course I'm totally full of chit....

I'm certain that I'm not alone here by saying... I just love watching another creation of "Puzzled" coming to life!

The other thing I'm certain of is that whatever you decide on for paint, no doubt it will be uniquely yours, and fantastic, just like your other creations.

Set thinking about it you are correct. There won't be any other pinstriping on the bike. I'm kicking around a slightly smaller version of the tank emblem.. all matching.

Thank you. This time around things seem a little easier with the exception of the stereo. I know what changes I wanted to make from the 13 to the 18.

Spent an hour or so tonight working on the bike. The chin spoiler is now fitted and ready for paint.

First cut around the crash bar.
