Another interesting tidbit of info -----------I never remove the mufflers to get the stock baffles out.
Once I grind the welds that hold in the stock baffles I drill a hole through the end of the baffle , insert a bolt and nut , attach a jerk hammer and pull it right out. (simply a rod with a hook on the end to hook around the bolt)
Much easier than wrestling with the muffler off the bike. Then I smooth out all the slag , clean out the bore of the muffler ,  drill the hole to hole required for the new baffles ,and install the fullsac baffles . Then I pull the mufflers off to install the MX pipe. Ive done this on several bikes.

I used the 1.75 cores........I like it kinda quiet.
Its definitely louder than stock but just right to me.
Ive used 1.75 im my last 3.......this m8 motor is quieter than the twin cam but it will get louder as the mufflers wear in.

I installed my MX pipe yesterday.  I already had the 2.25 cores, tech mat and screens in the mufflers.  Down loaded the TTS map for that set up.  Crappy weather yesterday so on road it a couple miles.  Sounds really good, as others have said not the same sound as a twin cam, but a good sound.  Feels real good.

It's obvious it is way less restrictive than the stock head pipe, first in the area of the cat.  But also where it turns to cross under the bike, and goes under the bike.  Bends are smother and bigger, and the pipe that goes under is round and two inches, not flat and smaller than two inches like stock.

Factory heat shields line up better than they did stock.  Very quality workmanship.

The M8 head pipe new mounting set up is much easier than the twin cam in my opinion.  I still have to install the heavy breather on the bike.

exactly my experience!
The new pipe almost installs itself , it goes on so easily. In the past you kinda had to hold your mouth just right to get the pipes to fit......not with this one. The jig they used on this one is beyond perfect.
HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS DAVE AND EVERYONE ELSE HERE ON THIS SITE!!!!!!!

I just removed the right side muffler from my 18 and used long drill bit to make holes in catylitic converter then long chisel and removed all of it without removing the exhaust.Noy a bad job at all.
