New 2018 cvo street glide what exhaust?
« on: January 07, 2018, 08:41:40 AM »

Just purchased a 2018 cvo street glide. I was thinking about the full Vance and Hines system with the xpipe and tuner. Is there something better or something anyone here recommends?

Most here recommend the Fullsac head pipe and baffles.  Better performance and less money.  Also allows you to keep factory heat shields.

Another alternate choice is the Fuel Moto Jackpot 2-1-2 stainless headpipe ... very comparable to the Fullsac DX or MX head pipe.

IMHO you need look no further than Fullsac. See FLSTFI Dave 's post https://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?topic=114509.0

His results are exceptional for the exact mod you are making!

Also look at the #7 Reply of this thread https://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?topic=114075.msg1450968#msg1450968 ... i think you will see you'll save a few bucks with the Fullsac package compare to FM (if you don't have a tuner now) and a crapload compared to the full V-H system.

He's right!! ;D!
I ended up switching from the Fuel Moto Jackpot 2-1-2 pipe to the Fullsac DX pipe with CVO 1.75" power cores.

I was just giving an alternative ...
the Fuel Moto is a great pipe too, but for me, I wanted more of the even flow to both sides.
The Fuel Moto pipe acts more like a 2 into 1 ... at least, that's what the sales rep told me.

Study the dyno runs of the Fuel Moto head pipe and exhaust with a tune.  I do not think you will see much improvement over stock.  This MX head pipe has consistently shown big improvements over stock.  Not say his product is bad.  I'm say there is a reason it took a lot longer for Steve at Fullsac to come to market with a Head Pipe for the M8 then the other out there.
