wow that is a beautiful bike.    I like the options too.

That is the way Hd  used to care about CVO colors and paint.

I like the price too .." Even with every accessory included it’s still a good price.  I talked to the local dealer today and he has his allotment sold.

Don't like the styling, to Victoryish.  Do like the flake though.  Price?  Well my 17' CVOSG 114 was 38.2K OTD.  Subtracting Tax, license, fees & $550 in gift cards bike was 34.5K with life time tires, must put 8k on them.  (A Harley demo day promo I think)  Indian starts @ 31.5K for a 111.  Air cleaner, bigger engine & lowers not included.  (Harley lowers are a nicer unit)  Might cost more or at least equal up a bit. Prices vary a lot & I shopped for a while to get this price most were marking up 5K.  I know there has been some discontent with the 18' HD colors - (Love or hate them).  I'm very happy with my 17' paint quality & color & so far am happy with my twin cooled M8.  I'm sorry but Harley's styling is hard to beat & I don't see the discount incentive.

Add the 116 engine for $3,500 (for kit, labor, & hi flow A/C).  You're now at $35k before you start negotiating off the sticker.  Added bonus...the engine is bullet-proof, oil pump won't need replacing, and no oil sumping.

too bad their starters aren't.  i know a guy whose bike has been down for almost 6 weeks waiting on a starter (that was recalled)....

I was over at K'ville Indian this past Tuesday looking at the '18 Chieftain Dark Horse...the one on which they installed their first stage 3 (116) kit.  Sounds great, by the way.  Gotta run on 93 octane with that 11:1 compression ratio...but I digress...

Gary (sales friend) told me to come back by on March 1 to see the new color....which he had sitting in the back, covered and couldn't show me or tell me anything about.  He said it was a beauty.
He was correct.  Knoxville has one that's unspoken for if anyone is interested.  I'm hoping to swing by before it's gone and give it a gander in person.  For those closer to Chattanooga, Crocket Powersport has one, too.

I was a big fan of the '17 Chieftain Elite in red.  This Black Hills Silver has the same type pattern but more metal flake.  I'm betting in the sun it's so shiny, ya gotta wear shades.

Is this a repeating problem with IM, or just an anomaly?

i dunno.  don't follow their recalls that much, just know that his bike would sometimes start, sometimes wouldn't, and when he took it in, they told him that starters were on recall, and national back order, and he shouldn't ride his bike.

Got to see the new Chieftain Elite in person last Friday.  It was very shiny/sparkly.  I was a bit disappointed since I liked the Red one so well from last year.  Some will like it, some will not.  Vickie said she was expecting John Travolta to show up at any time to "Stayin Alive"....reminded her of a disco ball.
