Now they are making them look like the Victory bikes. Bad move.

Come on Simon.  Let's not be a hater... :cherry:  ;D

Meanwhile on the Victory message board, the standard comment is "Looks very Harleyish to me, especially the fairing and bags."   :)

Well sure, Victory copied from Harley. Let's face it, there's a reason Victory died and Bombardier decided to move forward with Indian. I don't mind new looks. And I don't care for the Indian art deco fender but they can't just rehash Victory designs and call them Indian. No hate. I hope they succeed. Harley needs competition.

From what I'm seeing and hearing, Indian is doing real well. Sales have really increased this year. Some dealers are getting full msrp for their bikes and running low on inventory.

Bombardier?

My bad, Polaris. For some reason I thought they were related companies. Guess not, cause they are suing each other.  :D :D :D

I like it.  Wasn't too sure on the rear bags in the spy photos but they fit the overall changes.  I'm glad they went all LED and put the chief on the bobbed fender from the factory.

Not sure how the front vent flows with the storage bin still up top and that huge radio...wonder where the wind comes out?

The 116 upgrade still is on hold I'm'a'guessin since it's not listed anywhere....dang it.

I like the red on the limited and the new graphics.

Wonder what the Roadmaster elite color will be and if there will be another Jack Daniels model for 2019?

I did see that, Ghost, which began my search of the parts and accessories portion of the site.  Nothing listed except for stage two (pipes, AC and cams).  Even building one, the stage two is the only option... :nixweiss:

K'ville Indian has a '18 Chieftain Dark Horse built with the 116 from earlier in the year when they first came out.  They are on stop sell from corporate until the bugs are worked out?
They did let you test ride it at a point but not sure they are now.

Wait!  They are going to work the bugs out BEFORE they sell to the market?  That doesn't sound right.  I thought the market was the beta test group.  #harleyproductdevelopment

The fairing restyle is a little too industrial for me. But the big issue for me is the heat from the rear cylinder when riding, unbearable during my 2 weeks with one from Eaglerider. Not just at a stop but when riding, so the rear cylinder cutoff at a stop won't help much IMO.

rode the 116 at panama city rally.the 116 version was still on hold then. (may-5-18) then the hold was said to be til aug. the demo indian put on had two 116 ci. one on an elite the other on a road master. they had plenty of power on the low end. was definitely more powerful than my 110 c.i. i rode both and was impressed.

I went by an Indian dealership the other day and asked about the 116 kit being on hold. I was told that they were beefing up the rods in the kit and would be back on the market when testing was complete.

when I tested the Indian a few months ago it had the 116 in it and torque was good but still hit a wall around 4K. Even the torque though was not as strong as my 117 with stage 3 though it didn't sump when I tested it..

I am gonna be in the market for a new bike in about a year and a half. Would like a new CVO but if the dumping issues are still prevalent gonna have to look hard at Indian. I built one online loaded to the gills with removable tour pack and all the chrome available and a stage 2 kit. Only because the 116 is on hold. Price came to around 39000. CVO road glide is 42000 without removable tour pack. Never really looked at Indian that much before but all of these dumping reports are forcing me to. We will see if Indian solves the 116 issues or Harley solves the dumping first. Let the competition begin.
