Cams Again!
« on: November 18, 2018, 09:12:59 AM »

Alright folks, My 2009 cvo 110 is the typical stock engine with k&n, thundermax and pro pipe. I have been studying the bolt in cams available before doing the ole lifter maintenance I have read about that fail on the 110 cvo platform. So when I do that I may as well change the cam but I like the 255 grunt. So my picks so far to keep torque where I like are redshift 587, cycle rama 570-2, woods 222. Since there are builders on this site I figured I would check to see in anyone has installed the cycle rama 570-2 in a stock 110 and if the performance is better than the two others listed. I have seen data available on fuel moto's web site with the 222 and the rs587 from tuners on this site. But none with the cycle rama 570 in the 110 cvo. Would this cam out perform the others in my configuration?

Use the TTS150. Would be better with a head gasket change and a little head cut but still best from the list you provided. I was not a believer but have a customer that uses a lot of the cams and they work well for exactly what you want.
Change to Hylift B2313SE lifters, SE 18404-08 pushrods. Have the bike professionally tuned. I know the rap on "auto-tune".

HD Streetperformance,

What kind of dyno results can be expected from headwork (mill and clean up, possible valve change if needed) , and cosmetic head gasket, along with a good dyno tune with Full sacs 1.75 cores in a CVO 110?

Assuming a good head pipe like the fullsac dx and2" cores 115/130. Chsnge to SE Heavy breather, and a 58mm th and now 120/130. Most important a very wide flat quick to come on curve

Call Wes @ Cycle-Rama and talk to him about his & other cams. He is very experienced and will tell you the truth.

What compression would that be at? I already have the 58 mm tb, Dx pipe, 1.75 cores..just need your headwork and the cosmetic. 030? Do you have a dyno sheet?

24d cams - keep your frieght train torque, cool off the engine with some overlap and gain some hp.

With headwork roughly mid 120s with the right combination and work.  .030 headgasket, 0 deck and clean up and deck the heads, pop up pistons, pipe and proper tune etc

CVOSTU and several others have done this combo quite successfully.

No dyno exactly the same but same heads have gone 138hp @ 117" on this forum,
Your build 10.3:1, 2" cores, street pro 110 package, to get what I claimed. The tts cam is very similar, lift and duration to the 24d therefore results are similar. I would have no issue recommending that grind either. You will need to give me a call

Here's a 110 with the TTS 150.    :o

I thought the guy was asking about a bolt in can for his stock 110
This looks like a 110 build , with 10.5 CP and different heads??

Correct,  bolt in simple stage 2. That 570-2 dyno run appears to be a stock 110 correct?

Did the TTS 150 cams respond better than the SE 585 cams with your headwork? Here is a pic of your work with the guys bike who lives in NM, and later took it to GMR in Dallas for a tune...Reason I ask is I already have the 585 58 mm t.b. but I want 120/125 +/- 2 with a flat torque curve...
