New BUB 7 exhaust pipes
« on: September 17, 2007, 04:36:05 PM »

Has anyone seen or heard anything about the Bub 7 exhaust pipes yet? Here's a link so you can see what they look like. Thanks for the input.   http://www.customdynamics.com/bub_seven_exhaust.htm

I talked to Richard Farmer at BUB R&D today. He said the BUB 7's have a deeper exhaust note and they are slightly quieter then the Rinehart true duals. He also said the finish on the BUB 7's is superior to the Rinehart True Duals. I believe that in the spring I'll be buying the BUB 7's with the cross over pipe. I have to say a BIG Thank-you to Geezerglide for putting me in touch with Richard. Hope this info helps.
UPDATE Oct. 25
I was at my local Harley dealer tonight, Oct. 25 and asked if they had seen or installed any BUB 7 pipes yet. To my surprise the parts guy, who is very helpfull said they had a new bike in the back that they had just installed the BUB 7 pipes with the crossover pipe on. I asked if I could see and hear it and he said no problem come on back. I have to say the pipes are even better looking then the Rinehart true duals. The sound is deeper. My wife even said they sounded better then the Rinehart's do. I'm sold on them now.

Bub had an ad in the most recent AMERICAN BAGGER magazine.  Clicking on that link you can either get a true dual system or a crossover system depending on how you ride.  Can't say how they sound.  The crossover pipe is forward of the MOCO's..

When at the Bonneville Salt Flats for the World Land Speed Records, I spoke with Dennis and asked it their were any new developmenst with Bub Exhaust for larger displacement engine i.e Jims 120 etc.

He introduced me to Richard farmer one of his Engine Development guys and he mentioned the new "Bub 7" pipes, named after their Seventh World Land Speed Record.

He went on to say that it would be available very soon, looks like its out. He went on to say if their were any questions in regards to this Seven Exhaust System, give him a call at BUBB 530-272-4791 or email at farmer@bubent.com.

And Hubbard if you read this Dennis and the Bub guys say hello.

my question how much are they? I receive delivery this December. I would like to have some nice pipes on the bike. I have been doing some research prior to the purchase. I have read V&H are nice and quiet, however the king doesn't come w/ a radio. I am partial to a little noise. In the streets or the highway. I am thinking of RHTD and SERT.

I am going to wait tell Black Friday 20% off every item in the store.  I am going to look some more. I am interested in the new BuBs 7.

The price tag for these pipes are pretty low as well.($693.00) Furthermore, they will accommodate the SERK bikes as well.  :nixweiss:

I think the sound is aptly stated in the ad write up....

"craking the throttle"............"and a spine-shivering tone."

Mine is civil until you go wfo, then it makes some noise.  at 22-2800 rpm it is just rumbly.

Talked to Eastern Perfomance today and they said the BUB 7's were on backorder.  He wasn't sure of the price but said just the mufflers should be $375-$390.  Should have them within a week or so.

Sorry did not ask him about the whole systems.  They do sell Rinehart systems for $679 including shipping.  Have bought two sets from these guys they are great to work.  They ship quick.
