Hi everyone from Connecticut
« on: January 11, 2008, 10:47:43 PM »

Just joined the site but I have been lurking for a few days.

Picked up some good info from the posts I have read.  :)

I bought my SE "copper top" in December at a dealership in New Hampshire and finally got to ride it the other day when it warmed up some and the roads were pretty dry, love the bike so far.

Did a fluid change to get rid of what ever contaminents might of been picked up from the 100 mile ride, the oils didnt look very clean for only having 100 miles on them :(  Put Mobil synthetic 75-90 gear oil in the tranny and HD synthetic back in the engine and primary for now.

Added the SE AC backing plate and cleaner with the stock cover. The box had old instructions in it that didnt mention anyhing about removing the TB bracket but I figured it out and confirmed with the dealer parts guy.
Looking at getting a PC tuner and Rinehart pipes like I have on my 03 Fatboy 8) Cant beat the sound of the Rineharts

A few chrome goodies here and there to be added on this winter and then I just need some warm sunny days.

I bought my Fatboy new and haven't had any issues with it, knock on wood. It's a great cruising bike that I'll be keeping for a while

Bought the Ultra to hopefully do some longer weekend rides with the wife and friends.

Hopefully I'll have some pictures up some time soon.

Take care

Diesel Dragon
(I know its not a very good bike forum name but I love my truck's too)  ;)

Mr. Dragon,
Welcome aboard from western NY!  Change the oil every 100 miles and you'll go broke.  You can ride with me for the 1st 99.  I may be patient enough to stop for potty breaks, lunch, beer, and gas but not for three oil changes on a good day's ride!  Enjoy your new Duracell, BTW what number did you get?

Okay, your Clinton was incorporated in 1838 and mine Clinton in 1850 but Ken's Clinton was 1831. So agreed, Ken has the best BBQ. :2vrolijk_21:

I like the name Diesel Dragon.  Welcome from middle Tennessee.  I rode 90 miles today on my Duracell.  I have 3200 miles on it in the 3 months I have owned it.  Great bike, no problems.  Enjoy!

Mr. Dragon,
Welcome aboard from western NY!

Hi jgeorge102

I don't do my oil changes every 100 miles, more like every 75 miles, I carry a 5 gallon jug of oil with me every ride  :P  ;D

I got number 157, was looking for number 99 but couldnt find it anywhere.

The same dealership sold number 5 about 3 weeks before I got mine.
