I believe that gasket is .040   It's made by Cometic for H-D. Should be their part
# c-9722    Call cometic at 800-752-9850   Great people   they should tell you for sure.
By the way..Cometic gaskets get torqued to 41 ftlbs.  The H-D manual method gets you to about 37 ftlbs and is not as tight as it should be.

Just had my motor built with .030 head gaskets and the builder said stock HD's are .052.

syclone & B767capt -
Thanks for the input.
I contacted Cometic today and spoke to one of their Technical Dept. reps.
They do make the SE gasket in question for HD, and it is .040 gasket.
Thanks again

This is interesting. I emailed Cometic about head gaskets and got this reply to my question...

I am interested in using your .030 head gaskets. Can you tell me what is the thickness of the Harley Screamin' Eagle head gasket for twin cam? I am told that you manufacture this for HD.

Actually, we do not make the gaskets for Harley’s Screamin Eagle kits so I am not sure what their standard thickness would be.  Sorry.

Maybe they make the stock gaskets and not the SE versions [smiley=nixweiss.gif]
