Check out the black rubber shortie antenaes at NAPA. They're $5.95 and look exactly like the Freedom AM/FM that they get $18 bucks for. I guess they don't have the Freedom name on the label though so they're not "exactly." And $88.95 plus shipping for the pair. What's that about? Better visit Radio Shack and get the real deal. You need all your change for chrome.

It probably isn't important, but has anyone had luck with the shorties and the CB?  My 2001 Ultra CB was crap anyway.  Maybe I'll just chuck them both and only listen to my XM :) ;D [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif]

By the way, the threaded antenea base on an H-D is the same size as the standard GM or Ford antenea base so no "billet adapter" is required.

I have had GREAT luck with the Freedom shorties! The AM/FM works well, and I was able to get a 1:1 match at mid freq. (ch. 20) and only out to a 1.5:1 on 40. In english: works great!

I gotta get me an SWR meter, still haven't checked mine....AM/FM works though, I tried it once, ;) pretty much stay on XM or MP3 CD on the backroads.

Here's some more "Bling-Bling" for all of us chrome addicts. I picked up a "NEW" part at the dealer today. It's the chrome Radio & Gauge Bezel, H-D part number 74612-06. Retails for $24.95 and looks pretty cool.

I have the Freedom shorty's too, but am having a problem with the edge of the tour pak lid hitting the radio antenea and starting to put a small tear in it. theres an edge on the antenae shaft that Im going to smooth out, as it is quite sharp. My lid seems to have a lot more play in it than Id like. So am being careful when I close it.

Hey CigarMike,  you should have your tour pak checked out. I have the Freedom antennas and have plenty of clearance. :)

I have updated my final SEUC bling bling list… One member here asked "why no performance mods on the SEUC"; here is the answer:

I have a 05 SE-Fayboy which takes up all funds for performance mods and am now seriously thinking about a blower for it (only 5k or so). This will most likely have to wait until 07.
