So I had a stored code
« on: October 27, 2010, 12:22:25 PM »

I noiticed a stored code recently and checked it and it came up short in the induction module.  Well when I found out it was well over $400 for the part, I freaked.  The great dealer I had covered it with the warranty expired.  The real reason I write this is that after it was fixed and I turned on the ignition, the siren squeked.  Thought nothing of it till I got home and it squeked twice when I shut it off.  Called the service manager and asked if the tech installed the siren.  He said no.  My security system has always flashed the lights, but not the siren.  Come to find out the siren hasn't worked for 33k miles and I didn't know it was supposed to.  Color me embarrassed.

I think you can set it to chirp or not to chirp/ I bought a 2010 CVO Ultra and it seems to me you can turn it on or off......mine is set to chirp when the security sets.

Same thing happened to me after I visited a Harley dealer for a problem.  Now I like the chirp that I never heard before  in 22,000 miles.  Nice to know all is working now.
