Yeah, er' 'uh, Gentlemen,
Really appreciate all the positive remarks about Maudie's Motor.  The Speed (mph) was a misprint.  20 thru 140 mph, should have read 1000 thru 7000 rpm's.  Neil set the Rev-Limiter @ 6200, as shown.  She ought to Rock & Roll!  ;) Later--HUBBARD

Hubbard,

Have you seen the new "Limited Edition Flame Paint Sets" the MOCO just introduced for the Electra Glide's?  :o

"Ol Maudie" might look good in a new dress when she's out on the town. Especially now that you got her motor all fired up again.  [smiley=kiss2.gif]

/me is glad he doesn't like to do anything "fast" anymore. :D

BTW, wifey appreciates me not doing things fast also. ;)

Seriously though I would get in trouble with all them ponies at my beck and call. One of those things if you got it, you going to use it.

Great Googlygoo Hub! :o Do you actually keep both tires on the pavement riding Ole Maudie now? Curious too, do you wear a full face helmet when you ride. Hitting a bumble bee at the speeds you run would be like taking a shot! Unbelievable numbers Hub! [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Yeah, 'er 'uh, hogasm,
Naw, man.  I'm runnin' 24/37 gears, and a HD Belt for Sidecar application.  Really couldn't tell the difference by sight, but was told it's a stronger belt.  It's been on it since the "BIG MOTOR" was installed in Feburary of '04.  No belt problems.  Later--HUBBARD

Well Mr. Hubbard, I sincerely mean no offense  but the angel on one shoulder and the devil on the other have been having quite a battle this week since you first posted this thread. Looks like the devil won cause I gotta ask, when  you pull up to a stop light next to another hotrod H-D and they rev their motor and nod , do you pull out your dyno chart and show it to em   [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

A.) I don't have Hubbard's Day Planner so my expectation was not that he was away and that I could somehow get by with  "running my mouth"  behind his back

B) I stated in bold type that I meant the man no disrespect, I even went so far as to reference the respect folks on this site have for Hubbard, so your post dissin me is out of line

C) My posts are in reference to Dyno charts vice rubber meets the road I think I make that clear

D) I have had bikes I would gladly pull up beside Hubbards bike and run em. I do not have such a bike now, does that mean I lose my right to my opinion?

E) The only thing I did do was state my opinion that my neighbor's 156 ft lb /153 hp motor SERG would beat Mr Hubbard's "Maudie" But I didn't quote those dyno numbers previously, because of a conversation I had with Carl Morrow of Carl's Speed Shop about Dyno charts a few years back in which Mr Morrow holder of many world speed records on and as a builder of Harley-Davidson motorcycles  stated that they don't mean a damn thing. What mean's something is that a sonofabitch neighbor that no one in my whole town can stand has the fastest damn bagger I've ever seen and the sonovabitch can ride it and ride it better than all but a few people I've met in in 52 years. SO I said so even though Hubbard is probably one hell of a lot more likeable guy. If saying one guy you can't stand has a faster bike than another guy's bike who by all accounts, everyone likes is disrespectful, then to keep the peace on the site, I will apologize to anyone I offended.

E)

Hey Jock,

Why don't you lineup your SE VRod against Ol' Maudie?   8-)

I be interested to see the results of that match up especially if your bold enough to run it WFO.  :-/

If ya got it use it! [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Fatboy  [smiley=banana.gif]

PS: No Dyno Sheets required.  ;D

Um er dah, um oh well...dah er , er im oh.....Beg to differ........Hubbard,  congrats on the "monster" motor.  I hope it runs for ya.....Been that route and I hope it runs for you for a long time, but ............I'll make an offer....Let's ride ..............Key West to Toronto to Tacoma to San Diego to Orlando with no chase truck or spare parts (no hidden tool trucks or mechanics), and only running at 100mph.  Only 2  oil changes (maybe a rear tire) and see who getts there first.  Point is,  enjoy the ride, as long as it lasts............They're a real giggle to twist that sucker and get a thrill......nothing like it (been there done that).....but in my experience,  doesn't matter who built it...........It'll break sooner than later........Enjoy the thrill and have a good spring....Summer will be different....JMHO

I don't know if it's 'bad luck' or anything, but Hub may want to consider renaming Maudie to Lightning Rod !   Har!  [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif] spyder

Reading this thread is like teaching a kindegarden class.  Mine's bigger than yours, my dad can beat up your dad, etc.  Between this thread and the one where someone questioned someone posting to the board that doesn't have a CVO (Bike Week Death Toll), it's like a bunch of 5 year olds running around here.

First off, there is NO requirement regarding who can or can't post or be a member.  The person does not have to be a CVO owner.  Anyone can join and post.

Secondly, there are several people on this board that contribute basically nothing other than to stir the pot with useless bull$hit.  My feeling is that if you're just being a dick, you have no business on this board.  There are too many good people and good threads here for a couple of idiots to screw it up.

Bottom line to the idiots, if you don't like the way the board is run, pick a different board to be a member of and delete your id from this one.  The rest of us will be better off for it.

Just my 2 cents
