Seat Strap Bolt Fell Off
« on: October 09, 2011, 08:47:13 AM »

While coming home from work last week the bike was making a new noise. I picked up a new rattle. When I got home I noticed the seat strap didn't look right.  The bolt that secures it, and the fwd saddle bag mounting bracket was gone (left side.)  :o  Anyone else experienced this? I pulled the seat off a few months back to connect the Battery Tender QD lead.  Did not remove the bolt that came out. Pulled the one that connects the strap to chrome bracket. Bolt on the other side it "gut-n-tight"

This happened to a friend of mine who owns a 2010 Street Glide.  Glad you caught it before any damage occurred to the bag.  A lot of guys remove the seat strap.  It is really just in the way.  I hope that you used some loctite when you replaced the bolt.   :2vrolijk_21:
