IMO they will not be releasing either one of these in 2013.  The 120 is still in the research stage before release and if they go to a water cooled engine I would presume it would be fabricated for the 120 due to the heat that scooter will produce.  Just my 2 cents worth  :nixweiss:

Water-cooled = no.  120 engine = possible.  JM2C.

I have no guesses as to what the 2013 engines will be.

However, last year when I was wondering if they would once again be offering a SESG in 2012, the earliest proof came from the California Air Resources Board.  Which requires any manufacture of a vehicle being sold in that state to provide information about that vehicle 30 days prior to it being offered for sale.  So on June 3, 2011, the information for which CVO models, and what size engine they would have, for the 2012 model year became public knowledge.  At least for the public that knew where to look.  ;D

So I would expect the very first indications as to what models, and what motors will be in those models, will come from that source, around the same time again this year.  Below is the link to the document for the 2012 models that showed what Harley was going to be offering weeks before Harley officially announced their intentions at their dealer meeting.  Got to love the Internet.  :2vrolijk_21:

Just checked the California Air Resources Board's website and nothing is listed yet for any 2013 models.  But if you keep checking back at the below link, you should start to see the different documents appear as the release dates for the new models start to get closer.

http://www.arb.ca.gov/msprog/onroad/cert/hmc/2013/2013.php

While Harley has a tight grip on their employees and dealers that keeps them from spilling the beans about new bikes that are coming, they clearly have no sway over California's ARB.  ;D

I'm thinking the tight grip will be gone soon. When they decided to eliminate all the
full time employees, for temporary ones, I think the loyalty factor may have gone out
the back door with all those who may lose there jobs! Just saying!

Have to kind of wondering if there will be ANY significant changes to motors and stuff for 2013.

Could be wrong [I usually am] - but I think in the past they have had very few challenges selling any and all "Anniversary Models" in an Anniversary year.

Why would they make any huge changes if they are going to sell every model they make anyway....

Seems to make more sense to me if they waited till the year after to introduce major innovations.

Just sayin'.....

Nice Servicar.  :2vrolijk_21:

A SE tri glide would be interesting.

The higher price tag is a given.

Water cooled will eventually make its way into the lineup.

Oh yeah, SE Servicar :bananarock: .

One thing great about the Servicar is you could have one kiss-ass stereo system...

Or, you could sell ice cream in the summer...

A SE Trike would have a price of $50000+....after getting consumers over the initial shock, the MOCO could creep up the rest of the CVO line's price.

A water cooled Harley for the touring class will happen, but when?? Only Mother Harley knows.. With the EPA regulations getting tougher each year, my guess something will pop next year, because year 2013 is the new deadline for all manufacturers to abide by new much tougher EPA regulations..  Last year (maybe the year before  :nixweiss:) Harley filed a Patent for a new Water-Cooled Head. This topic has been discussed here on several posts and the attached web page is a saved Bookmark from one of those discussions.        www.cyrilhuzeblog.com/2011/06/21/harley-davidson-water-cooled-heads-patent

IMO - Harley will adapt to this either next year or 2014..  Although - I'm really curious what Mother Harley has up their sleeves for the non- touring models, maybe the Revolution motors ?    :nixweiss:

I don't think we'll see anything new or too exciting in 2013 becasue the MoCo will most likely be pumping up the sales hype on the 110th Anniversary.

It will be in 2014 that we see new stuff to keep the sales going.  But I wouldn't count on water cooled anytime soon, if ever.

Couldn't agree with Grizzly more HD can hype the 110 Anniversary ( basically paint and emblems), and upgrades/changes for the next year.

I'd like to see a SE Sportster.  While it's not gonna be near the likes of any other current SE bike, I think MoCo could do some good things to it, and younger buyers would jump all over it.

It is really sad when 20% of the bikes HD produces are "anniversary" models (eg. every 5 years they have an "anniversary").  It really makes the bikes special.    :nixweiss:

X2

Only problem is that it would have a retail price of $1799.00!!! :D ;D :o :P

I said it before, I still think they will come out with a Screaming Eagle CVO Trike.
Maybe not this year, but it's coming.

Any one have any insight on the 2013 Touring CVO yet?  Power Plant that will move it??  We are not that far away now....  The 120 would be awesome for pulling the camper!!  Liquid cooled would be awesome for the grind through the big cities.  I keep hearing about a liquid cooled head??

As Clint Eastwood would say, "Do you feel lucky, punk"?!  :)

The Anniversary models are usually more hype than substance...imho, I think we will see more changes in 2014 than 2013.

But let's say for argument sake, that Harley does do something for 2013 (113", 120", oil/water cooled etc.)...do you really want to be the "beta" tester for Harley?

We all know there were "issues" in the first 2 years of the introduction of the 110" engine and for the most part those issues were solved 2 years later in 2009...do you really think with the latest round of layoffs, bad economy, cost cutting "efficiencies" etc. that the first run of these new engines/changes will be trouble free? Maybe...maybe not...but I've learned through experience that being a "first adopter" is not always the best choice.

Just something to think about...your nickel, your call.

Now come on Spring and where the heck is my new bike...I've been waiting since August 2011 on my new "Skunk"!!! :(

With all the added plumbing on a wet motor I'd hate to be a beta tester, but when you think about it the whole CVO thing is just a big beta test anyway. I've alway been paid to be a beta tester by my vendors though.  Doc

...and pay, and pay, and wait, and pay while your waiting. Does your ambient temperature gauge still read 110 on a 60 degree day, stators that last about a year even on the new bikes, and on an on.
