Question on use of backrest with my stock CVO seat......?
« on: April 20, 2012, 07:12:34 PM »

Looking to see if anyone has a definitive answer here, will the HD adjustable rider backrest work with my stock solo seat on the '12 CVO RGC? Just from eyeballing the seat I would not think so, but wanted to know for sure, of course the dealers answer was I don't know, lol.

****Found my answer thanks......

Yeah found my answer shortly after posting the thread.

Just got a Corbin Solo in today and can't get it to lock in.

Why is it that the "5 minute" jobs always give the biggest hassles, lol.

Unfortunately staying Harley when it comes to seats is not always the most comfortable way to go.....

I owned a solo Corbin on my Road King and to this day i will never understand the world's fascination with that seat ... hardest seat i ever owned. I bought a Harley Hammack for my RG and so far it has been fabulous.

Just on a quest to find a seat for the skunk that is good enough for 500 mile days with ease, and sits me in the same spot as the stock solo.

I don't mind the comfort of the Corbin so far, 100 miles today, but it moved me noticeably forward and up and that I don't like.

I find a 10 to 11 hour day on my Corbin Classic solo is not bad at all, better then the Danny Gray on the Last bike, and about the Same as the Mustang on my Fatboy, and way better than any harley seat I have had.

I would like to try a 500 mile day on the new Danny Gray Airhawk big seat.  Great looks like my last danny Gray but should be way more comfortable.

If the Danny Gray Airhawk does not work out I will be trying the Mustang, and then if that doesn't work I will just send a stock RGC seat to mean city cycles......
