cleaning engine on 04 SEEG
« on: August 06, 2004, 07:40:31 PM »

Does anyone have any experience cleaning the engine on the 2004 SEEG?  My 98 roadking's engine was painted black, and I used SO100 engine brightner.  Thanks

I think the silver engine's a little harder to keep clean than the black.

S100 cleaner is good, but BE CAREFUL! If you don't watch where you spray it and make SURE you get it all off, it will corrode under rubber boots, covers, etc., and screw up black powercoat finish on an engine. I know this from experience from my last (non-CVO) Roadking [smiley=furious.gif], and have not/will not take that chance with my 2003 SERK. Harley's wheel cleaner with a soft bristle nylon brush cleans up the silver engine pretty well for me, so far. Just my two cents worth....ride safe! [smiley=thumbsup.gif]
