Well - test went bad -

Not because of the plugs or the pipes...but the bike.

After the B/O Se Ultra died while on my Anniversary trip, HD Bought it back and I ended up with the blue.  Honestly, all of them are growing on me presently....

Before the bike died, I had about 500 miles with the Wild Pigs.....Plugs looked like the stock plugs....

Now I did buy a SERT, and am awaiting to decide pipes I want....I like Dads ovals, but dont want to copy...

. . .2007 SEUC. So I'm starting to look around for a hf aircleaner. Anybody know of one for this bike (2007 SEUC 110ci)

jt,
I've got the Ness Big Sucker, chrome of course, #18-507. Bolts right up, fits perfect & has a high quality K&N filter that will accept the stock cover. I wouldn't give ya a nickle for the HD SE breather! JMO. As far as pipes - purely a personal choice (performance, sound, shape, look, etc)

So you "changed" or did you "remove" the muffler?

What do you mean by convertor?  I thought that the 2007s had the convertor removed by HD and it was replaced with the oxygen sensors????

Hey thanks I'll get the Ness Big Sucker as soon as they get some more in stock. Now I'm interested in what it takes to tear the muffler apart and what was in there that he pulled out?

Is it a good idea to add more air (Big sucker) without adjusting the fuel as well?

No. I wouldn't recommend it. These 110's are already lean. Changing out the AC & exhaust without modifying the A/F ratio will certainly create an even greater lean condition. At the least do the SERT with map 84. I've had the SERT on my last three injected HD's with no prob's but now that the 110's have the O2 sensors I'm going with the Zippers T-Max & closed loop with the wide band sensors. (waiting in line with a "pre-order" number, their vendor, etc. . . ) HD sensors may compensate (a little) but I'm not willing to run the risk. Besides, I'd like to take full advantage of the adjustability/tunability of an engineered system rather than building from a generic base map. I'll still dyno later w/the sniffer just to allay my anxities and to do any final tweaking.

Well I could hardly sleep thinking about tearing apart the stock mufflers. Took the mufflers all the way off the bike took off the heat shield to get to the screws for the end cap.Took off the end cap. Turns out the plate and tube are welded. I did a search on this forum and it says ya can pull the plate and tube to get a better sound. To do so looks like ya really need to be good with a grinder to remove the welds, and then good luck getting it all out without damaging the exhaust.

Think I'll pass on this one and go with aftermarket....

IMO - good decision. Either a set of true duals, or a good two into one pipe with high quality mufflers will accomplish the objective most effectively combined with a high quality AC. These 110's are just too congested AND you always have the unmodified stock junk to which to revert if a warranty issue should arise that you just cannot get around. Again = JMO.
