I'd stick with the OEM units, they have been revised and we do not see them breaking at the top like the previous version. I have seen these, they are bulky and well made but more of a PIA to install.

I've never had an issue with my fairing brackets but I have only owned 2009 or newer touring bikes  :nixweiss:

Never seen or heard of them, but I repaired my own with stainless steel and the cost was zero and the repair will last for ever, just around and hours time and fixed forever.

Jim I replaced mine on the 03 5 years ago and I'm betting they will also last forever.

Thanks for the feedback. I replaced both the fairing and speaker brackets a year ago w/OEM... Should be good to go for now. :2vrolijk_21:

Multiple revisions for the brackets Gary.

I was changing the speakers brackets at least once sometime twice a year. The latest revision though I have had for 4-5 years now.
I pop riveted steel plates to the left side fairing bracket over the crack and end drilled where the cracks would be mirrored on the right side (not cracked).

They also have been good for several years now.

Looks like they finally got it right with the 2007-8 version.

Revisiting this once again - as once again I have broken fairing brackets.

Current opinions of factory versus aftermarket?
Is there more then one aftermarket choice?
