Well you know I tried pretty hard to get the SRT, when the 08 rolled over to an 09, we decided to get the car we would have ordered if they had made all models in 08. As far as options, we stayed with the automatic and every other available option except for the HID headlights. We also didn't get the R/T fender stripes because I've already got the carbon fiber hood stripes that came on the 08's. I'm going to get those put on this week. We're still learning how to use all the electronic goodies. The wife really likes the u-connect and the phone system. The Nav system is cool too. Just started playing with the Key-less Go. Got the garage door opener synchronized today, something that was more difficult than it should have been. Way more tech than an old man like me will ever use. Got to pay less than MSRP for this one as opposed to over MSRP for the 08. I'm also thinking about having the rear spoiler painted matte black and putting an R/T emblem on it. The wife wanted red all along and it wasn't available in 08. So, I've only got 370 horses to play with instead of 425. That's still enough to get me in trouble. All in all, I think I'm very happy with what I've got. The first manual transmission cars are to be made at the end of this month and they are six-speeds, like in the Viper. They come with 3.92 gears as opposed to the 3.06's that are in the automatic. So, that raises a question, what will be faster. The manual R/T that comes with 375 horses and 3.92's or the SRT 425 horse that is an auto with 3.06 gears ? Strictly in a drag race. Top end is no comparison. The auto R/T's come with ability to drop to four cylinders on the highway and the manuals do not. So, the autos should get better gas mileage. Enough rambling.
