Thinking of buying a 2020 Limited. Any issues with seat comfort or do you think an after market seat is needed for comfort.

The seat on my 2020 CVO limited was comfortable, but I am a health guy and I felt like the seat was starting to sag from my weight. Which also made the seat leather to look a little wrinkled. I went with a Corbin after a few thousand miles. The Corbin sits a little firm for some, but does break in over time. I have close to 10,000 miles on the Corbin and I'm very happy with my decision. There was also an added benifit, the Corbin seat sat me a little lower and farther back. A win-win for me.

I took the stock seat off and replaced it with a new stock seat off a 2017 CVO Limited. I'm going to take the stock seat to my upholstery guy and see if he can take that extra piece out. The stock seat just pushes you up to far.

I like mine just fine. Its a bit more upright riding position but comfortable for all day riding.

The 2020 seat is “okay” - My 2011 CVO Ultra seat was definitely more comfortable. If you live in a colder climate, you will be disappointed by the seat heater - it barely warms at all. I’ve tried twice to get mine fixed/replaced under warranty, but the mfg refuses.

I was looking at lowering my 2016 CVO Limited seat. I contacted a seat shop that someone on here had said did good work lowering seats and was told me they couldn't modify a "hammock" seat which is what the oem seat on my bike is called. If you were able to get this done and are happy with the results, I'd appreciate you sharing the info. Thanks.

I had the same 16 CVO that you have and now have a 20 CVO Limited. The seats are comparable, the new seat took longer to break in but I like it. Just over 17k on it and just got back from a 4k trip and my rear was fine.

It looks weird with that little pad, but it's the most comfortable stock seat I've ever sat on and the heater works great on mine. I can easily run a tank of gas out without getting off for a quick stretch. It does push you slightly forward and upright but I find it to work good enough for me that I don't need the backrest that came with it. BTW I'm 6ft. 195lbs. and pushing 55yrs. old...so what works for me might not work for someone else
