Bluetooth headsets for Half Helments
« on: August 05, 2021, 03:38:50 PM »

I have seen I guess 2 different  types of boom headsets for use with a half helmet. One where the speakers  fit over the ear and ar connected to each other by hard plastic and controls are on one ear. the other one the speakers fit into a pocket on the helmet with a wire connecting the two. I will be using on the chopper and listening to the music from the Iphone7. Can you hear the music at speed or does the bike and wind noise  drown it out. which is best?

Big Lew,

This is what I use on my Daytona half-helmet, and all my helmets.  They are basically ear plugs with speakers built in.  They do an excellent job of cutting out the wind and noise, and allowing me to run the volume at a reasonable level.

With the traditional drop in speakers I found the wind noise over powered them.

Get a Sena Calvary 1/2 helmet with built in BT. They work great and can hear conversation at 70mph
