2019 CVO StreetGlide Heated Grips Fuse
« on: October 14, 2021, 11:14:13 AM »

Does anyone know the location of the fuse for the factory installed heated grips on a 2019 CVO Street Glide? I’ve checked fuses (all ok) in the main fuse box and there’s no fuses under the seat as far as I can see. I’m now thinking behind the bat wing but whereabouts amongst that mass of wiring?  Thanks.

Hi Peter,

I own a 2021 CVO SG, but could be similar. You should check the P&A fuse for your heated grips.Attached some pics and a wiring diagram. Hope it helps to sort out your problem.

Thanks for that info. I will recheck the fuses.

I guess you have a Front Power Outlet within the inner fairing on right. you can check with a voltage tester if there is 12 V. This is the same P&A Power as the heated grips goes to

Thanks. I have just checked front power outlet and there’s 12v. Therefore, there is either an inline fuse blown behind the batwing or the grips are faulty. Will have a look inside the batwing in a day or three.

Hi Peter,

there's no fuse inside the fairing. I think is either a connector or the grips are faulty.

Good luck.

Mine stopped working EVERY fall on my '16 RG CVO. HD had to find the connector and plug it back in. If i remember correctly, it was between the down tubes of the frame in front. Had that bike in Fl, didn't use  heated grips much, now in NC. new bike and grips always work. Have to also say, new design on heated grips is tons better

Wiring has been checked and there’s a failure in the grip’s thermostat. Thank god for extended warranty. New set of grips on order which will be fitted by HD at no cost to me. Result.

Grips have been replaced and I have toasty hands again. Fault was in the thermostat. Brand new grips and wiring have been fitted all under the bike's extended warranty policy.
