I stopped by the local dealer a few days ago, they were having an MSRP two day sale, and still had a red one on showroom floor. Not bad! As usual, looked way better in person than in photos. Very nice. I'll tell ya though, I understand how when you have the money, like Jay Leno etc, you can have twenty to thirty vehicles at a time. I'd have a Harley garage, well not just Harley's, but a garage of numerous different bikes to suit my mood for that particular time period.!!!

I know how excited you must be because I remember when the dealer gave me my estimated delivery date, congradulations Rainman.

I would say unless their is a confirmed fuel map for your pipe engine combo I also would wait till you have 500 miles on it first. I had my pipes put on before taking delivery to get them under the optional warranty umbrella and their was'nt any confirmed fuel maps with the race tuner so my dealer set it up with their experience with the closest combo they had. I am going to have it tweaked with a dyno run in the summer when the basline temperatures, air density and barametric pressures are closer to my everyday driving. I will say the mapping seems fairley close as I dont experience any drivability issues and the fuel economy is fair for a new engine.

I also live in an area like you when the riding in the next couple months will be minimul. I spent the weekend when I wasn't putting up christmas decorations installing some more chrome on my bike. I know you have quite a list of goodies so it sounds like even though you wont be riding much you will get to play with all the eye candy in the garage [smiley=laugh.gif] [smiley=laugh.gif] [smiley=laugh.gif]

Manchester H-D Buel, the second highest MSRP Plus$ dealer in the State of NH. Typically 2500$+. When I bought my bike, I told them I had an MSRP dealer picked out, told them which one, told them the actual quote I had, and they still gave me a quote 3K over! Go figure? The highest MSRP+ is Seacoast Harley in Portsmouth, they get upwards of 4K over. I think these idiots are finding their sales shrinking. Think it won't be long for the MSRP dealer in the state to drop below MSRP as "the idiots" finally drop their rip-off practices.

Psycho: sounds like your dealers trying to pick up an amount equal too or greater the amount of sales tax most of us pay, in my area 8.25%. NH. has no sales tax last time i was there-AK

Welcome to the site nhFLSTFSE---geez, I guess if I chat with you I'm gonna have to memorize the designation for the CVO Fatboy! Took me long enough to memorize the designation for the Deuce! I had to laugh when I read this. I told my wife one of the reasons the cvo bike I bought cost so much more than the standard fatboy is because it comes with all the chrome. Before I took delivery I had the dealer add a bunch of stuff including more chrome and just last week I bought a bunch more chrome, its just plain maddness. She knows me so well....

Hey I just got an Idea I'm pondering now for my seat, I have the big mustang for two up riding when I go out with my wife this gives her a big 14 inch back seat. But I have to agree with 2soaper on the looks of the original seat when riding solo and that got me to thinking. I think I'm going to retain the chrome shell and dovetail back and have the vinyle seat replaced with a custom built seat, new cell, maybe gell using a leather stiched cover, what do you think?? I know of a guy in Callifornia that builds very nice custom seats for my dealer and I wouldnt think this would be too hard for him to fit.

I talked to the dealer last Friday and they told me that it was going to be two more weeks. I am not sure what is up, but not too worried about it right now due to work is keeping on the road a lot and I am taking a weekend class at the university.

Good to hear work is at least occupying your time keeping your thought off the bike.

Personaly I would be going nuts. Just before my bike was due in they told me it was possibly comming in a week early, then it came in on the original date expected. I remember waiting day by day, hour by hour, minute by minute, second by second, nanosecond by nanosecond, ........ by ........, you get the picture.

Oh boy I'm sorry if I'm not helping you keeping your mind off it rainman. Good luck and get all your work done, you've got a lot of parts in your garage dude.....reo....

I am not sure how well this will work out, but I am going to put a detachable sissy bar on the bike so I will have something to trap a bag to for the smoky mountain get-together. I ended up buying a Biker's Friend Saddle Bags to carry a few items.
