Best indoor cover for 06 FB
« on: January 14, 2008, 03:35:07 PM »

I have a friend with an 06 Fatboy who is trying to find a cover that fits right. He recieved one for christmas from his wife that she picked up from the local HD shop but the cover swallows up the bike. Any suggestions? Thanks

wierd, maybe us 05 guys got something over the 06 guys. I got a pretty decent indoor bike cover with my bike. It says CVO and everything embroidered nicely across the front. The 06 guys didn't get that?

Althought I would gladly swap mine for the fatty rear and rim combo you got. I have one slightly used CVO cover for trade if your interested........lol :orange:

Howie...might want to take a look at the Exigent covers here  http://www.exigentbikecovers.com/bikecovers.htm

I have the rain cover, and really, really like it.

I have been using Nelson Rigg covers for years and would not consider any other one.

Just talked to my buddy, is the rain cover ok inside or will it trap moisture?

If the bike is kept in a relatively constant temp environment (basement), I wouldn't be concerned about it trapping moisture, if it's put on when the bike is dry and cooled down.  I rarely cover mine inside, but down here, the bike gets ridden a little bit every month, even in winter.

A breathable cover is best for inside storage though...

I like the Exigent for the road because it doesn't have HD written all over it...just a plain black/Silver cover, so theives don't know what's under there...it also takes up very little space.
