'09 SERG-First 200 Miles

Okay, here are my initial impressions of the SERG after 200 miles.  It is a very fun bike.  Much more nimble and easy to maneuver than I would have guessed.  It's not as comfortable as my CVO Electraglide was but it handles significantly better.  The brakes are strong and the road feel is very confident.

The engine and power band has been impressive right out of the gate.  Very smooth, linear throttle response with no flat spots.  I have noticed more valve train noise but that may be simply because the exhaust is quieter and is no longer masking the sound.

When I first got on the bike I thought the suspension was very stiff.  I checked the air pressure in the rear shocks and it read zero.  For $500 in dealer prep fees, that's the kind of service I received...complete BS.  The good news is that once I put some air into the shocks, the suspension was terrific.  Firm but not harsh.  Great for all types of riding.

Don't buy this bike if you're trying to stay under the radar.  It's like a magnet.  Every place I stopped people asked about it or congregated around it.  It's been fun.

I'm planning to put some more miles on it today and will report back later this weekend.

So what are your plans for it?

Tourpack, lowers, SERT, exhaust, cams, and intake? I'm sure a lot of folks here want to see how the "final product" turns out and see the tuned dyno numbers. Post some pics because like you said, you can't fly under radar with that.

I've got the Super SERT and Rinehart slip on Mufflers.  I'm going to add the Rinehart head pipe just as soon as they manufacturer one and then will put it on the dyno.

I think I'm going to add the copped tour pack but not the lowers...need highway pegs too.
