hi everyone, thinking about putting a hogpod on the seuc, has anyone tried to wrap one in leather to look like the original dash pad ?

Good question! I've had mine painted, but leather wrapped sounds cool too.

Apparently this has been accomplished by another CVO member... I'm just waiting for a pic to show up for us all to have a look at.

Had a guy in Jackson, Ms. wrap mine. Had some leather used by HD and it looks great. I don't have a picture I can post but I'll work on it next day or so. Had to use screen grids and not wrapped due to thickness of leather. Even has seam in middle. I know,I know I'll post asap.

That really looks nice in leather. I wish I had known about this at the beginning of the winter. Mine is at the shop being painted. I guess if I don't like the paint job, I can always ship it down next winter to do it in leather.

Where did you mount your xm radio antenna?? I am having issues with mine cutting out like crazy!!!! Another member mentioned you put yours in another location? I have blown up your pics but cant seem to see it

I also have a hog tunes setup but love the look of the leather dash..so never got the tweeter pod. Now I am going to have to get one done like that!!! thanks alot.... more $$$$$$ lol!!

How much improvement did the tweeter pod add??

Pic's 4&5 but you can't see it well. It's on the top left of dash(flat) about 1 in. to left of windshield with wire in slot of the windshield. I had already changed front and rear speakers to HD Booms and that was a big difference. I installed hog pad to pick up tweets normally blocked by metal. Helps at higher speeds.

It made all the difference. I was ready to jerk it out or listen to cd's. I ride on a treelined tourist road and seldom have any dropped signal. No more than my truck with antenna on top.

Got the pic thanks. I had issues also with XM reception when I was heading north only. I moved the XM antenna from the center of the bracket to the forward edge mounted inside the faring. Much better results. Also made sure speaker wires were tied away from antenna.
