I'm having someone do up a set of Custom Painted Tins for my SEFB.  However, I plan on keeping the original tins in storage, in case I ever sell the bike and the buyer wants the original factory look.  I went to see the painter today, and he told me that the MoCo refuses to sell the '06 rear fender unpainted.  The only way to order the 205mm rear fender is with one of the Factory Paint Jobs.  Just another example of HD and their sound business practices...

You have bad information. I purchased the '06 fender primed.
I have also heard of someone else on here doing the same thing.

Any dealer should be able to order the fender.

Thanks for the information, I'm going to call the dealer myself tomorrow.  Anyone know the part# for a Primed '06 Fender?

I do have the part # as I have purchased 1 (primed rear fender) from Chicago Harley for about $152
will check & post part # later
