Return throttle cable snapped
« on: August 18, 2011, 07:29:59 PM »

POS! This particular line started yellowing a few months back, I also had some issues with adjustment in the past the day after I washed the bike. Ive routinely shot a squirt of wd40 down each line to prevent cable rot. Went out yesterday and noticed some slack in the throttle when going from idle position to first throttle. Today when I goosed it, I noticed like a hitch/click. Got home and saw slack in the line down by the throttle body, it snapped in the middle of the line. Better the return line then the other. I will likely just run the one line from here out. Did this on my last bike for 4 years without a issue. Makes the bike lighter ;D

Also the paint off the rear master cylinder top bubbled off along with the black inlay on the derby cover where the 110 is stamped peeled out. I'm the only one with these issues?
