Okay, update on info learned as of today.

HD Dealership will remove and put motor back in for labor cost of $600. The cost for replacing fluids, gaskets, etc. additional $150 at reassembly. HD can remove in less than 5 business days and get to powder coating.

Powder coating will be $160. They can do it in two days than ship to Diamond Head. Shipping/Ins. there and back to HD Dealership $150.

Show Cut at Diamond Head $550. They can do it in five business days and ship back to HD Dealer who will put back in less than 5 business days.

Total cost $600 + $150 + $160 + $150 + $550 = $1610 + taxes and unknown would be around $1800.

Now need to decide if this is a winter project i can afford. Anyone else have thoughts?

FWIW don't assume that vendor promises of performance and reality of performance have a lot in common with each other.

I've seen them in oerson and they are worth the money..but it helps the budget immensely if you can do your own disassembly and reassembly..

Might as WELL while you're at it ... true ,balance , plug and pin the crank while that far down.. LOL .. oh yeh .. how bout them cams and pistons .. mayb a lil head work will let it breath .. jus sayin .. mod on brotha ..
