I put it to wonderful use on a special ride...
A few years back my aunt turned 90 and I suggested that she might enjoy a ride on my Harley. Being the energetic person that she is, she jumped at the chance to have her first ever ride on a motorcycle in her life! So a took a few others with me and off we went on a short 10 minute ride with her and 4 or 5 other riders.
She enjoyed it so much that every year since she kept asking when I was coming back for her next ride. Last year she claimed she was getting old and I had better hurry.
With her turning 95 last month I figured it was time to do it again and phoned to ensure she was still up for it. To no surprise at all, she was and could hardly wait. This time I decided to give her a real big thrill and invited a few more to join in the fun. We blew Aunt Annie away when we showed up with 23 riders and this time the ride lasted 40 minutes, and she now is looking forward to the next ride.
We all made a deal with her that we would bring back 100 riders for her next ride on her 100th birthday!
Aunt Annie (dressed in red in photo) is a true inspiration to us all - still lives alone in her own home and drives her own car at 95! Every Thursday she picks up my 90 hear old Aunt Ruth (to the left of Annie in photo) and off to the casino they go.
