2006 Muffler Problem
« on: November 20, 2006, 06:14:42 PM »

I had complained about an exhaust leak on the FLHTCUSE 3 times before I took the right muffler off and this is what I found.  Wrongway

That stress cracked?

I had a heck of a time with one of my stock mufflers when I replaced them at around 4k.

Hard to know why it would fail other than having never been tight in the first place.

11,000 miles so far, they have a new one on order. The dealership offered me the cost (330.00) towards any mufflers I want, but I want to keep everything original for the bike. So I will buy the V/H mufflers but have the stock pieces available.  Wrongway
