Mikeytee's natural drink holder repaired.
« on: October 19, 2014, 12:52:53 PM »

Well I went MUSC ( Medical University Of South Carolina ) Friday morning to have my little finger straightened out. The little finger on my left hand would not straighten out and had become a real problem.
I would joke about it being the perfect drink holder, but it had become a real problem and was finally  causing some real pain. So I go in and they are going to do a nerve block rather than put me under. Wrong Robin! Nerve block didn't take so they put me under. One and a half to two hour surgery ends up taking over three hours. ( No big deal. ) Well I wake up and there is a cast and monster wrapping on the end of my arm. The attending nurse tells me they want to look at it and remove the bandage/cast and stitches  on Nov. 5th. WTF that is three weeks. Have you ever tried to button your pants using just one hand? Can't be done. And zipping them up is almost as bad. Also forget tying your shoes. Anyway I get to play the helpless card for a few days, as Susie feels sorry for poor little ole me. The bad part is that I can;t get out on the bike and this is the best time to ride around here.

Counting the days till the riding resumes.

Take care of yourself Mike and heal up quick!  As the others have stated, you have a fine lady to help you thru this.  Regarding Nov 5th, we would probably never get anything done if they told us the truth up front.  It'll be here quicker than you think.
