We had the good fortune to live in Boston for 10 years and, with the demise of my beloved Oilers, I became a Pats fan even before they started winning (Bledsoe era). Great city, wonderful folks, fantastic seafood, awful winters, GO PATS!!!!

Yeah I remember Steve Grogan. And Tony Eason, Jim Plunkett, Irving Fryar, Steve Nelson and all the past Pats teams that spent so many years at the bottom of the league. For so many people to hate the Patriots nowadays just speaks to their greatness. It also speaks to the shallowness of those who hate for the sake of hating

And for all those petty people, the report from the NFL came today that the balls were checked by a referee prior to the game and all the balls passed. The inspection simply gives the balls a pass or fail grade and they all passed.

Now I am sure the conspiracy theorists will continue to find a pathetic excuse on how they still cheated.... like that fan from baltimore who started an online petition to ban the Patriots and have the AFC game replayed with the colts and ravens.... what a complete fool.

I realize this will all come to an end. But I am enjoying it for the full ride. I have been through the years of us being the laughing stock of the league. We paid our dues. We now have great ownership, a coach who is 10 years ahead of his time and will go down as the greatest coach in history, and a quarterback who is hated because he is so squeaky clean and all-american that the haters try to make a big deal out of nothing. And Brady will go down as one of the top 3 QB's of all time and maybe #1 before he is all done.

So keep hating.... it's a great compliment

I do but during his time I was cheering for Dan Pastorini and Earl Campbell and hating everything and anything about the Steelers...

Now there is no need to hate the Pats because they have a lot of problems to tackle come next Monday - like how do they fit 4 super bowl rings on one hand?

Four rings is easy it's the fifth one that presents the problem.

I've been a Pats fan from childhood. Which is to say almost as long as they've been a team.
Right now they are the NFL's version of MLB's NY Yankees, the team everyone loves to hate..

Sunday will be interesting for certain after last years Super Bowl debacle. I can hear it all now - If the Pats win they'll be 'cheaters to the end'. If they don't, unlikely in my view, it will because they 'deserved to be defeated cause they're cheaters'.

The Seahawks are very good - just not good enough. Their vaunted defense screwed the pooch in the 4th quarter. Ironic in the end result that it was the Patriots defense that put the cap on the victory... As far as the four super bowl rings on one hand goes, I am sure even the Pats can figure out that each finger gets a ring and the thumb gets none. If they can't figure it out they can contact my Steelers who have six rings.

So the steelers really have 5 rings, which would still be 5 more than my oilers!
