Thanks all for the "welcome!" You betcha I'd pick her up if HD rolled 'em out done! York is only a 3hr drive for me. Still waiting. So far the weather is holding out. Plenty of time to get at least 1K - 2K on her before the snow starts flyin'.

Welcome to the site - hdfatboy

If I lived in PA, I think I would head over to York and ride her home.
Be kewl if you could go to York and ride bike out like the Corvette owners do in KY

This could never happen! Hd requires an intensive set-up be done by the Dealer(set up charges)  before we can start our Beta testing. :)

Has anyone got their 2006 black & slate ultra yet ?????    Mine was supposed to be in back in mid sept and I am still waiting. Dealer claims that few if any have been shipped yet, just wondering how valid that is?

Mine was supposed to ship September 27 - just got a call from the dealer saying it is "in the system," meaning it shows in the dealer's inventory and is enroute.

I was at Pikes Peak HD in Colorado Springs today and was told that they delivered a Black and Slate to the owner earlier this week, like Monday or Tuesday.

Falcon,

How is the allotments and timing determined?

Fat Boy

For the 1st allocation phase it's one bike per dealer with additional units being allocated through a combination of 2004 Bar & Shield points and the 2005 store bike unit allocation size.

For the 2nd and 3rd allocation phases the allocation methodology will be based on performance criteria.

All three color schemes will be produced in each phase. They will be produced in small rotating batches as opposed to past model years, when each color
