Labor Charges for 24/37 Gearing
« on: September 24, 2011, 04:28:01 PM »

What's in line for Labor charge's at the dealer level to install a 24/37 gearing in a '06 CUSE? SE 6 speed gear box already installed. may be a nice improvement to change to the older TC gearing.

Thanks in advance  :2vrolijk_21:

Not sure what the labor cost is to switch to 37 /24.  What is your current inner primary gearing now; 36 / 25?  What overall gearing ratio are you looking for, and what is your current ratio?  Reason I ask is that if you haven't already considered it, you might be able to keep your current inner primary and simply switch to a smaller trans pulley and/or a bigger rear pulley to achieve a very close ratio to what you'll get by switching the inner primary.  Seems like the rear pulley switch, if you have to go bigger, would be easiest and cheapest, as you may not need to switch belts. Again, you may have already considered all this, in which case I've been no help at all.

a very easy mod to do on your own, just read the manual, get a trq wrench and hand tools and about 2 - 3 hrs for a novice
