Hey gang...
Figured Id pass on my latest saga.....
workin in Denver this weekend; come out Sunday only to find the tweaker mafia has demonized my HD True Blue truck.
fked up the truck to get in, and among other necessities they wandered off with my Garmin 2820 and my passport...and a whole bunch more chit.
Spent today sending the truck to get fixed up and dicker with the insurance guys.... but the passport has me hemmed up; i am right on the ragged edge of ability of getting a replacement in time for Nelson ..
anyway, i'll keep my toes crossed on that one..but all of us know better than to leave chit in our vehicles... heres a reminder for those (like me) who get sloppy about it.

Dang, Scot... sorry to hear about it. Thanks for the reminder not to leave anything valuable in our vehicles. Locking it only keeps out the lazy thieves. Where in Denver?
-
Right across I 70 from Mile Hi Harley... in a hotel parking lot ,,, very nice place too
-
Scot,
That sucks to hear that. Frickin thieves I can't stand them. :sauer005: Hope you're able to work things out w/your passport that would really suck if you weren't able to make the trip. :(

Well if they stole your passport then they must be terrorists, I'd call the FEDS.

If all else fails use dOOds passport!
If they ask any questions tell them you look better in person and don't take a good picture!

I just got my passport in about 9 days. Sent it in express with express return envelope pre-paid. Not sure if the threft causes additional time element but it appreared on a renewal the timeline is greatly reduced over normal.
The extr $60.00 helped too.
Good luck on a speedy replacement.
Last night when I rode home I called back to work and had them pull my radar detector out of the "in plain view" place I left it on the center console of the rig I was driving. Just too friggin' temting for the scum buckets that wander bye looking for an opportunity.

Don't forget that the Passport requirement for land travel has been delayed...

And as for the truck...maybe they will come out with an HD edition of the 2008 F450 and I will sell you my 2005!

Nope, just smart tweekers who know someone who'll pay big $$ for a passport. But I would have called the Feds anyway. This is the worst form of identity theft that can happen to you. You will be on the Homeland Security watch list forever and one day more.
