Hmmm, considering H-D sold 8.735 new bikes in Germany (i.e. 12.7 % more than 2010) a 2 % growth of the Hoggies numbers means around 10 % of the old members didn't renew ...

I suspect part of the decrease stems from the military drawdown. I held my AE HOG membership until I returned Stateside; others may have done so as well.

I think they also count the ones, who didn't renew
and the ones, who got a new hog-number, buying
a new bike (like me), even if the "old" hog-number
was in the contract already. it makes them grow,
that's what count for HOG Europe.

On the other side they forgot to issue new hog-numbers
to new members of hd-bikes here in switzerland as well.

After changing the HOG-Center from Germany to the UK,
they lost about 5000 addresses, they told us at the national
director's conference at that time.
