I guess slapping a sticker on them with a production number, makes them more valuable in some people's eyes.  When you look at production numbers at the end of the model year, you'll see that these "limited numbered editions" are actually produced in a higher quantity then some of the other "regular" production CVOs.  It's just a marketing scheme, IMO.

SCREEN NAME--I am not sure yet but have a few ideas.

NEW BIKE---I'm still waiting for mine. The motor company seems to be using a random distribution business model to send these bikes to the dealers.

REGISTRY--I thought it would help the members locate dealers who are willing to sell at reasonable prices and also provide a ongoing registry for members who wanted to verify who the original and subsiquent buyers were.

GOOD CATCH!!  Now we need to know what they want for it.  

It is strange that a dealer in Colorado would run a video from a Mass dealer unless both dealers are owned by the same corporate entity.

The fact that the motor company is taking so long tells me that they want to have ALL of the answers ready when they call you back.

My opinion that the correct number is 900 is based on the museum bike (000/900)and the first one (001/900) that we have been following the resale on here. Too many HD people have been involved with these bikes to allow a oversight of this magnitude to have gotten by.  


I'm betting you'll have to bring your bike in and have the medallon exchanged for the correct numbered one.

Unfortunately there are going to be 900 made not 550.  But fortunately you have a badge (vendor mistake) that shows # out of 550.  Maybe your incorrect badge will be worth something someday.

Your dealer (yes I know who they are) is really lucky sombody in your profession doesn't sue them for false advertising. They have been trying to sell your new bike (Cycle Trader) since October, November and they didn't even have it yet. The "Call For Price" got a response of "it will be sold to the highest bidder"......when it gets here....a date they didn't know.

As far as resale value, it will never be worth what you paid. So as many others here have said ...Ride it like you stole it" and enjoy.

I was shocked at Harley Prices in Stavanger Norway when I was there two years ago for Training at NOV.  Just over double the cost in the USA.

A friend who I worked with for a Year in Angola, who lives just out side Oslo was telling me the tax is 100% of the bike cost, then there was also a pretty big Vat.

You sure got a Nice bike, and have a beautiful country to ride it in.

Congratulations.  You live in Trondheim?  I have been there twice for some training with Kongsberg and Seatex.  You sure do not have a very long riding season, however what  beautiful place to ride a bike.  I love it there.

So is there any way to see where all of the CVO Road Glide Anny ended up?  Seems like a lot of dealers got multiple ones so, did some not get any?

Named her Dusty partly 'cause of the Diamond Dust color but mostly 'cause it's a good stripper name.
She was up on the show stage at High Country Harley Davidson in Frederick CO when I first saw her, she had me standing there with my mouth open, drool dripping down & took alot of cash to get her to come home with me and she continues to get all my cash.

Good for you (been told by GM and friends trying to buy CVO they marked CVO's up now). Until that dealership was sold it was my primary service dealer... now I'm strictly using independents that are out on their own from that dealership.

I picked up #831 of 900 on 8/31 (purely coincidence!) and Vanessa still sits in my garage with 0.6 miles on her (that's a story for the Rider's down thread).  I find out tomorrow morning if the Doc will clear me to ride before the riding season ends here in New Hampshire.

Mo Lottery bought me 721 8/9/2013. I entered a second chance drawing from Harley Davidson scratch off tickets. 7/11/2013 Mo Lottery notified me I won $21k taxes paid towards a new Harley. I traded my 04 FLHTCSE in on the bike. Added V & H High Output Exhaust, Arlen Ness Short track air cleaner, Back rest, Floor boards, Power Commander V. Out of pocket  $380.00. Thanks to Mo Lottery.

#721 sits in S.E. Iowa purchased from St. Charles HD thanks to Missouri Lottery. I entered a second chance drawing from scratch off tickets in July 2013 for a chance at $21k toward a new Harley or cash. ALL TAXES PAID.I traded my '04 CVO Electra Glide in on the bike. I left $500.00 Deposit. They installed V&H exaust, Ness air cleaner, back rest, tuner and passenger floor boards. and I received $120.00 back out of the $21k. Plus they Paid my IA sales tax.
