Listened to it on the clip; that's some of the best bass I've ever heard from a video clip. Would like to hear them in person.

Couldn't tell what header they had on the bike.

Seems like they are to compete with the CFRs soundwise, but in theory these would be better for performance since it has a 3 stepped baffle.

thing is these are unknown performance wise. Not sure if they would be better or worse than my Rineharts. Im going to have my tune tweaked anyhow once I decide if Im going with different slip ons or a Drago 2-1, but these could be poor performing like the CFRs for all I know.

Cool, be sure to let us know about your thoughts if you put them on. My real question is if they hurt low end performance like the CFR's do.

Not sure what I'm doing- humming and hawing between these, or a 2-1 system (Dragos or Rush), which of course would require a fresh tune. Or, I'll just leave things as they are, and save the money to put towards the Ohlins FKC 101 cartridge kit, which should be first on my spring list.

I'm sort of winter window shopping at the moment, lol.

Just bumping up my old thread to see if there are any more opinions from those who may have these by now.

Considering these, Kury Crushers, or Supertrapp/Kerker Stouts. I don't want to lose the aggressive sound of my 4" Rineharts, and also don't want to lose any performance.

My dnt' are scheduled to be here tomorrow. I am having the bike dyno'd next Friday. New cams, lifter, and pushrods. I had the vance and Hines monster ovals on, never had it dyno'd though so won't be able to compare those, I was looking for a cosmetic change and wanted more of a muscle car sound so this is what was recommended. We shall see.

Got em on, look cool as hell and sound great. Bike is going into get dyno'd this week so we will see. Compared to what I took off these are a definite upgrade even though I know the vance and Hines cost more.

Have you ridden the bike yet with the Bassani's, or is it still stored away like mine?

Definitely interested in how your bike tunes with them, and what your tuner's opinion of them are. Yeah, I imagine they are much healthier sounding than your Monster Ovals, which are pretty tame.

What bike do you have, and what headpipe do you run?

I just ordered these today after much on-line research. I have never heard them in person so I very hopeful they are much louder than my stock pipes. The stock pipes are so quiet it really doesn't even sound like a Harley.

The DNT's will be going on my 2013 Road Glide Custom CVO FLTRXSE2, Roman Gold and Emerald Green. I got the 4" chrome straight slip-ons with black end caps so they will look as much like my stock pipes as possible. Next month I plan to add a Power Commander 5 and have a dyno tune done. Bike is stock other than a few minor accessories, so this will be my first performance mods. You guys think I'm on the right rack ?

Yep will post them when I get it done, hopefully the weather will be better than they forecast for the end of the week so I can get it there, I think my head pipes are vance and Hines. They are single pipes and I ended up putting 18 mm bungs up towards the heads as the tuner said it would be best.

So I phoned Bassani the other day to get some more insight into the baffle size. I realize it's a 3 step baffle, but wanted to know the diameters. Like I said before, a lot of these new mufflers have 3" cores which is way too big for our bikes when running a catless headpipe- I think they are coming up with larger core mufflers for use on stock catted pipes, but don't mention this fact because they wouldn't want to lose half their sales of the guy who are running the catless pipes.

Anyways, the guy wasn't the most pleasant or helpful. He didn't know the diameters, so eventually he reluctantly went and measured them.

He told me it starts at 1.75" of perforated pipe, then 1/8" larger section of straight pipe, then a bit bigger at the end, of louvered pipe.

I may not remember it exactly, but it was something like that. I would have written it down, but I kind of lost interest because of his attitude, plus I wasn't convinced the info he was giving me was 100% accurate.

I don't know what these would be like for performance compared to say, my 4" Rineharts which perform well. I'll likely wait till I see somebody's dyno charts with them, or see some kind of slip-on comparison.
