Post by: billywolf067 on August 19, 2015, 01:02:45 PM
I have recently rebuilt my 80 cubic inch evo. I have a 94 dyna low rider  i put arp head bolts an new studs an used james gaskets. I got a rear head gasket leak so i tore the rear head and jug off put new gaskets on and as soon as i started the bike the gasket blew again. Any suggestions would be very helpful and appreciated

Several common possibilities. :nixweiss:
Stud pulling.
Head gasket surface, (cylinder or head) not flat. Wrong or improper torque procedure.

Also, if using a MLS style head gasket, you  DO NOT  use the O-rings on the cylinder dowels.

With all the engines we build here, I can count on 1 hand the number of times we have used a replacement cylinder head stud.
ARP hardware is top-shelf no doubt.
We use Cometic head gaskets here.
