Title: NuSheild question
Post by: Glenncarp on August 24, 2017, 12:16:44 PM
Read the ENTIRE thread on the glare issue and ordered my NuShield today. Some applied over OEM cover, others removed the OEM protection. Wondering if there were any further updates on installation? Is it better over OEM cover or removing it and applying directly to screen?

Also wonder if removing OEM screen, then applying NuShield to the OEM screen cover, then putting it back on bike was a viable option? That seems to make fitment easy IMHO.

Thanks in advance

I just put my nushield over the original one and it made it readable most of the time. I'm 5' 7" and you are correct, it was dangerously blinding.

I'm interested in the answer to this myself.

Removed my OEM first, then installed the NuShield. AFAIK the OEM shield has no function other than protecting the touch-screen .....the NuShield will also protect, so why have both?

Installed one a few weeks ago over the OEM shield.  Had to remove and reinstall as had installed it from bottom to top.  This resulted in the screens on the radio changing.  Once installed from top to bottom, no more screens changing.
