Title: New CVO owner
Post by: Tic Toc on October 21, 2017, 10:12:03 PM
I recently purchased a 2016 CVO Street Glide and would like to switch out to a mustang two up seat to please my wife. Does anyone now the proper procedure to remove the rear fender tabs and bolts that secure the solo seat?

Not sure about the bolts I think I left them on mine and the harley hammock seat fits over top I had to take the two rubbers off they pealed off easy no residue. I even put them back on to go back to stock and they re stuck

I purchased a '16 Road Glide CVO Ultra touring seat (kinda matched the carbon fiber look of the bike) for my '16 FLHXSE to use with the detachable tourpak.  I leave the bolts and fasteners in place and the seat fits over the top no problem. That way I can switch back and forth to the solo seat quick and easy. But I think if you take the plastic retention disks off, the bolts will drop right out.

Thanks for the responses. I was able to remove the fender strips using fishing line with no scratches on fender. I left the bolts in and the mustang two up seat fits perfectly.
