Title: Speakers in lowers on 2018 CVO ultra limited
Post by: dogdoc85 on March 09, 2018, 09:28:41 AM
Just picked up a 2018 CVO Ultra limited (Anniversary) last week. Had already made appointment to upgrade speaker system. Honestly the stock system doesn't soung
too bad, but I am wanting better. Upgrading to Rockford fosgate system with speakers being installed in saddlebags as well. Was wondering if anyone has put speakers
in the lower fairings, and if so was it worth the extra expense. Thanks

See other thread here:   https://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?topic=109276.0  If you are staying with the Stage I audio you are good to go.

Did not used to be room for speakers.  Apparently Harley finally designed a kit to fit.  However, fine prints says this will not fit FLHTKSE with Stage II. Bummed because I would like a Stage II 6 speaker setup.

Reference bottom left side of page 780 in 2018 P&A catalog or check the website for 76000660.

Yes but you don’t have the coolant reservoir on your street glide. He’s either going to have to use the Harley kit with the smaller speakers  that can still snap off for service.

Thats a 17 CVO Streetglide. He DOES have the coolant reservoir. Note the airflow hole to the right of the speaker. It looks like he has a custom adapter to push the speaker out further to accomodate the twin cooling set up. Nice job.
