Title: Tuners NH
Post by: 1roadking on March 11, 2018, 08:30:07 PM
I’m not sure how many of you are from NH, but I’m wondering if anyone in here has had their bike tuned by Twisted Cycle? Also interested in other options in Mass and Maine. Any input welcome.

I know the shop well, not sure how many bikes Brian has tuned. I know he is not overly fond of having big motors done and prefers simple and sound stages that work for him.  I live fairly close and have had a few friends have their bikes tuned there. Some were happy and some were not. I would check between R&R & Twisted cycles for your particular needs.

Good Luck

I had him install a custom 117 kit with tman 590 cams, 10.7 comp ratio pistons and suburban speed head work and he is tuning it. I figure I can bring it somewhere for a tune if I’m not happy with that part. The rest is cut and installing a pre-packaged kit.  I haven't  heard much about R and R as far as tuning goes. I am considering bringing it up to Big Boyz.

I would definitely consider Big Boyz Head Porting in Augusta, Maine as an option. Bean has tuned a lot of bikes, including mine, and is well known. Lots of info on-line to investigate should you choose.

Truth be told the higher ups @ Manchester HD have their bikes tunes @ R&R.  I know of a few guys that had tunes done at Rob's, since he does all kinds of bikes you may find a substantial back log but I could be wrong. Just to clear things up the tuning at Big Boys is great for touring and mild builds. For high performance I would try R&R and then Rob's. By the way if you call the guys at Big Boy's they will tell you just what I said. For high performance they have a list of tuners they recommend. If you need more info send a PM.  I live close by to R&R, and they may be backlogged as well. I wouldn't wait to long at this time of the year with spring coming on.

Know of a couple of guys that were unhappy with the results from Rob's, suggested they talk to Dan Thayer
