Title: best goggle defogging liquid?
Post by: nixobilly on May 14, 2007, 04:20:09 PM
Got caught in heavy downpour yesterday and all was well until my panoptix fogged up...

What has everyone found to be most effective?

Thanks,

Mark

I use anti fog that they sell at scuba shops - named cat crap or something like that.

Spit works ok, believe it or not.

Cat crap is the name of the anti fogger. also could try this: http://www.amazon.com/Glasses-Anti-Fog-Lens-Cleaner-Spray/dp/B000GCLRE0. and as previously mentioned when push comes shove spit works great ( see divers and their masks!). the other problems ( as I personally attest is the panoptix foam when it gets wet you may not be able to antifog no matter what because the the air inside your inserts can't breath-thus i switched to ones with the removable foam-convertibles)  John

I've tried about everything that I have come across, with mostly poor results, but this stuff, called FogTech, works.  It leaves a clear, moisture-absorbent film on glasses, goggles, face shield, etc.  Use it in the winter on the inside of the helmet face shield.  Comes in various forms...towelettes, liquid, etc.  Try it...you'll like it.
