Day 15: Little housekeeping and tour of NW Arkansas.  Nice progressive area, booming economy and lots to do and see. Hit the local HD dealer.  They had a snazzy '18 CVO Street Glide on the floor, $$$45K, LOL.

Odd Soul Tavern, Downtown Springdale, AR. Very cool area and would like to hit this area for their BBQ Bike Rally in September sometime soon.

Day 16: Lowell, Ar - Lamar, CO, @600 miles mostly on US412 from AR to Boise City, OK. 412 is a nice road that you can make really good time on.  Will consider taking that road over I-40 the next time I travel to the Midwest. Lamar, Meh, no big deal but tired anyway so stayed in the Days Inn, way overpriced, just saying....

Day 18 -19: Stayed in Cripple Creek. Very nice area but not a lot going on in this town if you aren't into Casinos but lots of friendly folks. Sightseeing, Royal Gorge, etc.

Day 19: Cripple Creek, It was chill but we out.  Another delicious $1 breakfast down the hill from the Gold King Mine Inn at the Casino; two nice days here, quiet, clean, friendly staff, & nice pool. Saw this cute sign on the way out of town; reminded me that we are on our way back to reality..

Day 19: Ouray, CO, favorite part of trip including all my time in Indiana & AR.  Cool little town and reasonable if you go to right places; several drinks at Western Hotel, $49 for the night; we stayed at a place for three times as much, LOL.  Hot spring pool at Weisbaden eased the ache and felt like new the next day!

Day 21: Woke up way too early @ fussed and slept a little, thinking about returning to reality. We got out of the motel at 7 after enjoying parking lot coffee with folks we met on CVO Roadglides from Louisiana who where escaping "Harvey".  Nice roads headed to somewhere in West AZ, Cortez, Kayenta, AZ, and stopped in Cameron at a nice touristy place for a nice late breakfast. Headed out and we were enjoying it until 14 miles south on Hwy 89 we were right behind an SUV that got wacked on a 90 degree head on; saw it getting ready to happen, flinched, panic ABS braked, impact, oncoming vehicle shot right across in front of us, I blacked out and next thing sitting in debris field of demolished car that had been travelling in front of me.  We pulled over and rushed to call 911 and render assistance; two elderly folks, lady driver severely injured, and husband in passenger better off, poor fellow in oncoming, deceased.  Forever, 45 minutes, the EMS arrived.  We were there for what seemed like a long time and eventually released; feeling drained but the freedom of just getting away from that horrible scene calmed me some.  Set our sites on Lake Havasu due to circumstances and hit a wicked short hail and rainstorm west of "flag" on the "40". Warm getting into Havasu & quickly settled and into the pool at the Knights Inn downtown across from a chill Irish Bar.   A little Irish Whiskey and moment to share company with a loved one while reflecting on what we have to be thankful for, wonderful scenery, loved ones, experiences, travel, freedom, motorcycles; don't take any thing for granted, there is no promise for tomorrow.   Slink/
