Yesterday, I traded my 2016 FLHTKSE in on a 2018 FLHTKSE 115th Anniversary Model. So far I have been able to put 233 miles on it. On my 2016, I had switched out the stock rear air shocks with 1" shorter progressive shocks and was able to sit flat footed while on the bike. On the 2018, I am able to do this with the existing stock shocks. Is this because of the redesigned seat or did Harley reduce the size of the rear shocks by 1 inch? I never did like the garbage stock air shocks that Harley used, but these new shocks that they are using appear to be much improved. I know the existing stock shocks are not as good as the aftermarket shocks. I still have my progressive shocks that I was considering putting on the 2018, but I may not.
