Tire pressure monitoring
« on: September 02, 2018, 04:58:20 PM »

Tire pressure monitor system fault is coming on for the rear tire when it shows 40psi

Is there a way to clear the error?

Does the tire pressure monitoring go threw the radio or the and? Also geting an over temp error randomly

Were tires ever overfilled with air?  If so, that’ll do it.  Usually shows as (RR - -) or (FR - -). TPMS need recalibrated.

Even if u let enough air out, it throws off the sensors.

I see no -- or ++ as you describe

Tires have never been over filled.

Why would it ned recalibrated all of a sudden?

What kinda beer was it?

In My experience, tire pressure fluctuates +/- 5 psi when warmed up.  Once mine went above 50 psi then I got the warning light & - - reading. No matter how much air I let out, sensors weren’t resetting themselves.

Quick fix at my local H-D shop recalibrated sensors things back to normal.  Been good ever since

Was a pumpkin porter

Was 39 when I started 42 when I stopped

It cleared itself and went off, the  tire still registered 42psi when the light went off.
