And as an update to that story - Hoist ended up changing the tire in J'ville NC since it had flat spots...

Just replaced my rear at 5500 miles. bald as a baby's you know what. Tired of dunlops. Going to try a metzler this time. Still have a commander on the front wich probably is not the best idea but, I just can't bring myself to fork over the dough for a front tire that is still in good shape.

It's not really in good shape. While the tread wear on the front is no noticeable like the rear, they sides of the tire " cup "  Stand to one side of your front wheel, off to the side a bit and above the tire and look across the tire to the other side. You'll see what looks like scallops in the tire. Ever feel your front end want to dance when you go around a corner. Kinda of a cha cha cha type feeling ?  That's what causes it
